The Medieval Period is the age which gives us the finest work of literature on Falconry - "The Art of Falconry", written by Emperor Frederick II of Hohenstaufen, which is a veritable bible for the training, management, and understanding of the bird of prey, as written in the 1240's.

The Medieval Period introduces us to some of our finest falconer-Kings and also to a wealth of knowledge, techniques, and culture in the world of falconry. From depictions of falcons in art, to travels in the east, the Medieval Period is a time of learning and growth in the development of historical falconry.
